An original "geek", Burning Man before the lines, survived the dot-com boom and bust. 7 years backpacking around the world, posting from cybercafés before "travel blog" was a phrase. Ended up in questionable and dangerous places like Syria, Sudan, Myanmar, a minefield in Cambodia, and walking through tribal lands into Ethiopia.
After returning to the USA, I spent a decade living aboard a boat in California, working as a harbormaster and throwing parties on the water.
Now I'm in a house in the hills of central Mexico, and on the road again.
